                  I  remember  teams  of  mules  dragging  scoops  at  low  tide  and  taking  the  sand  from
                  between the bathing boxes to deposit far out below the high water mark. It was bandied

                  about that the beach was under the Auret’s curse. The very thing that he tried to avoid
                  he was now blamed for.



                  The Pavilion, and a second one, were demolished and a third “pavilion” is now where
                  Abraham said it should have been in the first place.
