It has been customary for the Commanders-in-Chief to make minor and sometimes
major changes to the House and gardens. This trend continues and one is concerned that

the holistic and balanced decor established in 1986 may be lost. While Admiralty House
is not a museum, it is part of our National Heritage and should be cared for with great

circumspection.
