               Conclusion


               Die Dam is an historic part of old Kalk Bay. Many of the original fishing families were forced to

               move  by  the  Group  Areas  Act  in  1964  but  fortunately  there  are  some  who  remain  to  carry
               forward the history of their ancestors.
