Recommendations
Further investigations should be undertaken to determine whether the Silvermine Valley
should be graded and listed as a Provincial Heritage Site, or at least be listed on the Heritage
Register.
Urgent archaeological investigations should be undertaken into the silver mine operations,
particularly the foundations of the hut that could have been built by the silver miners, Die
Kruithuis, and the Silvermine farmhouse. ((Fig. 2.37.)
