on Dalebrook beach, while Dalebrook Pool was enlarged in the 1960s. Others have been
altered, such as the old Sewage Pump Station / Public Library (now the Community Centre),
and Onaway which has had another storey added. Elsewhere, along Boyes Drive and
Quarterdeck Road, numerous vacant plots were developed during the 1950s – 70s. But
overall the area has retained its character and quality, combining some of the oldest with
some of the newest homes in this part of Kalk Bay.
