                 Fig. 2.82: Rocks of Ages forming three capes (RRW): Cape Point with first lighthouse,
                 above (1860), that was replaced with one lower down in 1919; Cape Maclear centre left
                 named after Sir Thomas Maclear, Her Majesty’s Astronomer at the Cape 1833 – 1870;
                 Cape of Good Hope at extreme left.
                 The horizontally stratified rocks are Peninsula Formation sandstones of the Table Mountain
                 Group. The TMG rocks were formed between 440 – 500 million years ago.
