Hamilton Brownlee Barry 13458 v

Hamilton Barry was a shipping clerk with Union Castle Steamship Co. before the war. He
joined the SA Artillery and held the rank of Lance-Corporal. During the Abyssinian
Campaign he contracted toxic myocarditis from which he died on 23 April 1941, near
Adama in Central Abyssinia.
He was unmarried and was survived by his parents, Reginald D. H. and Annie Barry, of
“Hugenot”, 8 Harris Road, Kalk Bay.
