                  landing ground and was serving 13  Corps. On 16 April Lt. Norman Ross took off on a
                  reconnaissance flight over Gazala Island but lost his life on being shot down over the sea
                  by anti-aircraft fire. He was not yet 21 years old.


                  He is commemorated on the El Alamein Memorial, Plaque 267. He was survived by his

                  parents Surgeon-Commander and Mrs. Campbell Ross of “The Dinghy”, 189 Main Road,
                  Kalk Bay, and his elder brother Lt. Clavil Campbell Ross.
